Search Engine Crawler is changing. SEO is changing.
Originally SEO dominant factor was ‘contents’. As Search Engines found as giving useful and limitless information to everyone, search crawler givs most advantage to web pages containing full of contents. Target keyword research and put that in the contents on landing page became important SEO tactics. But soon it gave rise to side effects. Such as keyword stuffing, blackhat brought in search ranking manipulation and also didn’t provide useful contents as well.
Then, search algorithm got changed to construct better search environment. Search crawler started to think “to verify whether the contents are latest and informative resorce, I have to check what others think. If lots of webpages link to certaub webpage, it is probably important and useful.”. Link building became important factor as much as contents. But soon link building companies getting grow in a rambling just for search ranking not providing information.
Latest SEO Trend – Authority.
Both factors, Contents and Link, have each possiblity to fall into trap. ‘How can we make sure webpage is trustful?’ It is search engine craweler’s biggest and serious worry.
They find answer. “Authority.” If the site has trusty identity such as official webmaster, URL(org, gov…), it gain authority. Search engine crawler finds out lots of elements to check how prominent authority the websites have. For better SEO in 2009, You should consider and shape website’s authority first.
